The D50 was converted by Lifepixel, the D90 by ACS. As for the external filter, I'm using a plain old Cokin P007.

Go out on a sunny day and take a tripod with you.
Point the camera to some foliage so that the viewfinder is filled with green stuff.
Put on the filter and do a custom WB measurement (look it up in the manual of the camera!) When it says 'good' you're set. (you'll need to do a manual long exposure - ca.30 sec - to get a long enough exposure for the measurement!)

Easier: shoot RAW and set the WB in Capture NX! :D

I have made cwb in foliage but is not correct the photograph that I take. they are all very red! If I make with the filter on t o lens it writes me no good!:(

You have to take the CWB with the filter on. You need a decent exposure so that the camera accepts it (you need to use M mode, with settings like wide open, 30 sec, iso 100).
