I´m waiting for my new IR filter so thank you for really nice inspiration! =D
I wonder how low was your shutterspeed and high aperture. My IR 850nm is on the way now so I don´t know yet how long with this filter I will need but I thought that with IR filter you need very long exposure (about 3-30 seconds)..?
What frequence of light can goes thru your filer?

Thanks!
The cut-off point of your filter is not related closely to the shutter speed needed for a well exposed shot. The strenght of the built-in hotmirror of your camera is a much more important factor for that. What camera will you use the filter on?

I've used an infrared converted camera here, that has had it's hotmirror removed and replaced with a 720nm IR-pass filter. This allows realtime shooting, autofocus and perfectly usable viewfinder.
