It is a common belief that harsh mid-day lights are the best for infrared landscapes. I tend to disagree. The 'Golden Hour' is good as well, if not better: the wind chills, and the shadows are not that harsh. I had some luck with this one: half an hour ago there was some wind, but as the sun was setting, it chilled. The air was so still, that during the 30 sec. exposure almost nothing moved!
