Nikon D90-IR - 16-85 VR @ 31 mm - f/8.0 - 1/400 sec - ISO 200 - NEF - Capture NX 2.2.6 - PS/CS2

Haven't been very active lately. Let's see how that changes as spring gets in full swing. Here's a warmup piece that's quite typical from me. :)

Now both visible and infrared (695nm) light versions are uploaded. Enjoy!

Hello. Firstly, great shot! ;)
I'd like to buy a Hoya R72 to make infrared shots too with my D90, but it has a strong IR filter so...i don't know if it'll work because of this. So I'd like to know if you had your IR filter removed in your D90 to be able to take this or if you didn't need to make any changes. thanks for helping! And what infrared lens do you use?

With a regular D90 you'll need quite long shutter speeds (0,5-1 minute on sunny days). My D90 has been modified to overcome this problem.
My main lens for IR is the 16-85VR, but I'll be downgrading my Sigma 10-20 for a Nikon 10-24 soon to get a working wide angle for IR as well.

1 minute! That's so long. So I won't have any chance to get an image if i don't convert it... too bad. I'll try to find an alternative. Thanks anyway ! :)

Well, you can get images out of an unconverted camera as well, but you'll need a tripod. Also, focusing will also be a question of luck.
