I'va just tried the Hoya R72 filter, it nearly makes no difference besides it takes some light aways. The tones are very close to without the filter. This is very disappointing
Fact is you never know what people put in your camera. Everyone claims it's 720nm, whereas lifepixes uses a stronger, the others mostly lighter filters. (B+W's 092 schott filter is commonly available in bigger quantities, that's a 695nm filter, I suspect most converters use that).
I actually think you filter is very close to mine. The WB is not your problem alone, last week I reset the WB to the B+W 093 (so that the live view becomes actually black and white), but I can't set it back now...
You should try Capture NX, you shall get similar tones to mine easily.
But thanks for the tip, I'll have a look on NX now
And i am pretty sure that you know that you can store up to 6 custom WB shots in the D90 right
Slot #4 is for the 830nm black and white pics, #3 is for the Cokin 720nm, #0-2 is for the built in ACS filter now.
