Really? This is out of camera :wow:

I'va just tried the Hoya R72 filter, it nearly makes no difference besides it takes some light aways. The tones are very close to without the filter. This is very disappointing :(

Why disappointing? It means they are close.
Fact is you never know what people put in your camera. Everyone claims it's 720nm, whereas lifepixes uses a stronger, the others mostly lighter filters. (B+W's 092 schott filter is commonly available in bigger quantities, that's a 695nm filter, I suspect most converters use that).

It is not the internal filter i am disappointed of but the fact that i cant get any close to your shot with my camera, even with a D90. It were exactly those colors i was looking for, and now i dont even get them with a r72 filter and a properly set wb, i even cant get there with postprocessing :/

Nah, people are always longing for what they don't actually have. I'm longing for a slightly stronger (yet lighter than lifepixel's 720) filter. A real 720nm perhaps? (Never had a Hoya R72 only a Cokin 007 so I can't compare).
I actually think you filter is very close to mine. The WB is not your problem alone, last week I reset the WB to the B+W 093 (so that the live view becomes actually black and white), but I can't set it back now... :shakefist:
You should try Capture NX, you shall get similar tones to mine easily.

Hmm, I always wanted to try NX but back in the days where i had my D70, it was a charm working with lightroom and a custom camera profile to get the tones right. Now it is not working anymore or more or less not as good as it has been working with the D70 :/

But thanks for the tip, I'll have a look on NX now :)

And i am pretty sure that you know that you can store up to 6 custom WB shots in the D90 right :) (I just came across this feature^^)?

I've found these 5 slots now. Damn, should have known about these earlier! No more cyan 830nm pictures! :#1:

Slot #4 is for the 830nm black and white pics, #3 is for the Cokin 720nm, #0-2 is for the built in ACS filter now.
